Johann Nefdt begin 2009 met ‘n Woord en Lied-program by die Wolseley Dienssentrum op Wolseley en gedurende Maart sing hy in die stadsaal op Ceres by ‘n 105de verjaardag van ‘n inwoner van Huis Pieter Strauss op Ceres. Wilbé Engelbrecht doen die klavierbegeleiding van Koos du Plessis se Gebed en "Sweef soos 'n Arend" van Mynie Grové.
BADISA Wolseley held an Autumn tea to fund three Programs in Wolseley. Izanette van Schalkwyk was the speaker and she accompanied Johann Nefdt when he sang “Dis winter in die Breëriviervallei” (Johann Groenewald) and “Plea from Africa” (Bokwe).

Johann Nefdt sang "The Prayer" and "True Love" at a wedding in a garden in Constantia. Hans Nel created backtracks of the song I sang. This was a lovely event after which we enjoyed a fantastic meal.

The Qahal Musicians, Johann Nefdt (baritone), Charlene Martin (soprano) and Hans Nel (bass), joins the DR Church Kuils River’s choir which performed an Easter Service. Izanette van Schalkwyk accompanied on the pipe organ. This was a very blessed service.

At BADISA’s Anual General Meeting at Chrismar Villas in Bellville, Johann Nefdt and Charlotte Stopforth sings a medley of A. Lloyd Webber’s songs, arranged by Hans Nel. Johann also sang “The Lord bless you and keep you” (John Rutter). Jan van der Merwe’s accom-paniment was absolutely superb.

Johann Nefdt performs at a guest house in Tulbagh. This event was a wedding ceremony of Michael van Wyk and Susara Müller . During this event Johann sings “Because you are my heart’s delight”, a medley arranged by Hans Nel. Background music was provided by Johan Viljoen.

The “Friends of Tulbagh Museum” presented their anual Chrismas event at the historical church museum. Johann Nefdt and Johanna Viljoen performs two duets accompanied by Chrizelle Everson. Johann’s solo of the evening was “Jesaja voorspel”, arranged by Hans Nel, a compilation of several South-African composers. This solo was masterly accompanied by Bertus Hanekom.
